thecurler.com: Updated website set for 2007-08 Season

In response to the recommendations of Manitoba curling fans, an updated version of Manitoba’s only independent curling website, thecurler.com, has been launched today.

The website was established late last curling season to test the interest of Manitoba curling fans and to provide an opportunity to learn the challenges of operating in a new (to me) medium.

Response from curling fans has been very encouraging. Their suggestions have resulted in development of a new, easily navigable format and implementation of a number of very clearly defined editorial features.

In addition to the obvious News category, the ‘departments’ on the new site are Just My Opinion (an editorial); Your Say (letters to the editor); Coming Events; Scoreboard; Coaches Clipboard (instructional items relating to coaching); and Rulebook (rules interpretation).

thecurler.com invites curling clubs and event organizers to submit their information:

News Releases: news@thecurler.com

Coming Events: events@thecurler.com

Curling fans are invited to express opinions on published editorials or on any issue facing the sport of curling to: myopinion@thecurler.com

Requests for our advertising rates can be directed to ads@thecurler.com

Direct general correspondence to resby@thecurler.com
